No. 7

This demonstrates my basic approach for starting most paintings and drawings, choosing a major focal point and comparatively working out from there. I've loosely sketched in the entire composition but always refine one area to completion before moving on.
I've tried other ways, but when drawing or painting from life, this has always worked best for me. I was stoked to find out as I grew up that most of my favorite painters work(ed) in a similar fashion.

I saw that painting and thought it was a Lenz-Erwin. Good lawd.
